Would you like to improve your smile? Do you have chipped, worn down, discoloured, uneven and irregularly shaped teeth? Veneers are a good way to achieve a natural result without removing a lot of your natural tooth structure.
Dental veneers are thin shells of tooth-coloured materials designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve your appearance or protect a tooth’s surface from damage. These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth and often enhance aesthetics as the colour, shape, size, or length of the tooth is changed.
Dental veneers can be made from porcelain or from resin composite materials. Porcelain veneers resist stains better than resin veneers and better mimic the light reflecting properties of natural teeth. Resin veneers are thinner and require removal of less of the tooth surface before placement. A discussion for the best choice of veneer material will be conducted by our dental team.
A porcelain veneer is carried out by preparing the tooth, a 3D scan which gets sent to our computer, followed by the milling or sculpting of the veneer from a full porcelain block with our CAD/CAM technology (Computer-Aided Design/Manufacturing). The final phase is carried out by the cementation of the veneer on the tooth.
